Today, we are moving into the 14th chapter of John’s gospel where Jesus comforts His disciples. The disciples were about to have their faith tested as they would see their Master and Teacher taken from them, beaten, scourged, and murdered on a Roman cross. Despite these difficult times, Jesus teaches His disciples that even those circumstances are no match for the comfort that can be found in Him.
Today, we will be concluding our series on the love of God. We learned last week that God’s love is painful because God disciplines those who belong to Him out of His love for them. Given the radical nature of God’s love compared to ours, is Biblical love something we are really capable of doing?
